Cast iron is a brittle material, easy crushed when crushed, cast iron’ carbon in the presence of graphite in the form of high processing, but in the form of carbon (such as iron carbide) in the form of poor processing. Therefore, ductile iron and malleable cast iron is easy to process, but the processing of gray cast iron when the blade requirements are relatively high. Turning the cast iron material when the knife off contact distance is short, the tip temperature is high, easy to produce greater thermal stress, while the chip will cause the chip to bring high frequency repeated impact, increase the risk of blade damage.

Processing of high brittle cast iron, because do not consider the chip breaking problem, in order to strengthen the blade strength, improve the impact resistance, the blade is often not set groove, and the use of flat design (Figure 1). EJ Carbide with full range of carbide inserts, fully able to meet the various customer's needs.

However, for a certain shape of the cast iron material, we also designed a number of special slot type, such as our series of slot series blade (Figure 2). Such products use a wide ligament, coupled with a smaller angle of the negative chamfer and the larger front angle design, on the one hand to ensure that the blade has sufficient impact resistance; the other hand, reduce the cutting resistance. This series of products the same specifications complete, the customer can according to the actual processing situation, select the appropriate blade model.

In order to meet the processing needs of cast iron, on the one hand, we try to improve the high temperature hardness and impact resistance of the matrix, on the other hand we manufacture with its high wear resistance and high adhesion coating, and in the actual application of continuous optimization. After a long unremitting efforts, I Division in the field of cast iron processing has been successfully developed three common grades:

YBC305: matrix for the fine grain of cemented carbide, the coating is thicker CVD alumina coating, with good wear resistance. Suitable for high speed turning of gray cast iron

YBC301: matrix for the coarse grain of cemented carbide, coated with wear-resistant CVD alumina coating, with good toughness and wear resistance, YBC301 is the preferred grade of K class turning, K class general turning grades, It can also be used as an alternative grade for steel turning.

YBC351: matrix for the coarse grain of cemented carbide, coated with wear-resistant CVD alumina coating, with good toughness and wear resistance, compared with YBC301significantly improved wear resistance, suitable for gray iron medium Speed turning.

Now in the field of cast iron processing, our coating performance has reached or exceeded the level of similar products at home and abroad, has been unanimously endorsed by customers. In addition, for specific processing areas, we also provide customers with targeted solutions. For example, in the field of brake disc and air conditioning compressor, our company through continuous exploration and research, introduced two highly applicable grades, respectively YBC305S and YBC301K, these two grades of excellent performance, won the market's strong response.
